SE mapping finnally making improvements
With the team divided in three different projects (Scattered Evil and two other not yet officially announced), it gets a bit hard to actually have something major to show up. Still, after a somewhat long time with no visible advancements on our main next project, we finnally made progress on the mapping department! Still a beta test, it’s not much of a map but rather a experiment that focus on implementing features made possible by our base engine, Vavoom, and also set the mood and the style we are aiming at on SE world. Here are some screenshots of this little village and it’s main buildings (PS: don’t mind the little differences between the images, those were taken from different map versions):

Kmod 3rd Birthday, (yesterday)
Yesterday was the 3rd birthday of Korax Mod and following the tradition of releasing a new version for you to play on each birthday we have released a public beta of KMod3, so be it slightly late.
Kmod3.0 Public Beta can be downloaded here.
The main feature that needs testing is the new attribute system which uses 5 attributes instead of the 3 of older versions of KMod. It also has a conversation system that will allow you to talk to NPCs in the shops. You can also see the beginings of the Journal and the Spellbook although they both need much more work done to them before they are finished and they could change a lot.
Please report any bugs or suggestions for alterations in the forums.
And not the bit were I say "sorry", this was ment to be up yesterday and well the distro was but then I had problems with my internet connection and couldn't post this news article.
New mapper
We've got a new mapper on our team, Stryker. She'll build maps for Scattered Evil.
Korax Mod 2.8 released
The last version of the classic Korax Mod, KMOD 2.8 is released today. New features over 2.7 are now damage skins for all foes and also fire death animations for all monsters (earlier on, this was available only in multiplayer Hexen). See this page for the download link.
This is truly the last release of the 2.x KMOD series, because the next KMOD release will be Korax Mod 3.0, featuring a long range of enhancements, including technical ones like higher base resolutions and RPG elements like a journal and a spellbook. It'll also come with better support for custom maps. See the Korax Mod homepage for more infos.
