I don't know about save game file, I've tried once to find where it is but couldn't get it..

but hey don't feel too bad because I got a nice recipe here.

Peanut chicken :

Ingredients for 4 persons:
7 oz (200 g) of peannuts
1 good fram chicken
1 2/3 cups (2 dl) of (peannut) oil
4 cups (1 litre) of water or chicken broth
Salt, pepper and spice (to taste)

Cooking Time:
About 1 hour depending the chicken's size

- Roast (or grill) a chickenun, at three quarters, adding a pinch of salt and pepper or other spices
- Grill some peannuts in a frying pan, skin them, then mashe them and cook them in boiling water to obtain a broth
- Seperate chicken in pieces (wings, legs, etc.).
- Enroll each piece in peannut broth, and fry (in oil) until completely cooked

Hope it helps.

The savegames are stored in directory hexndata and is composed from multiple files. hex?.hxs contains player information and hex???.hxs are saves of the individual maps.

And, Nosferax, do not forget to save the Peanut Chicken in an apropriate savegame folder at the game directory when it is roasted...
Can we eat it with smash potatoes and gravy?

On macs save game files are separate and put into whatever directory you tell it to so the save game files are unlimited. You can LOAD multiplayer games on version 1.1 on macs, but you can't on the Death manager for version 1.1 on PC's (You can in the setup, but not if you're playing on a different wad file ).

Any Suggestions???

Hey this time I have to defend Billy, he's right... Mac Hexen is far more advanced than DOS Hexen, it offers several higher resolutions (up to 640x400) and unlimited savegames into the folder of my choice. I only have the demo but it's cool, if there'd be no source ports I'd play that one.

The Windows version of Hexen also had higher resolutions. And even in DOS hexen you can change savegame folder by editing default.cfg.

It's just too bad some of the cooler wads don't work on the mac (like Caldera as one Very good example (It crashes on level 2 ), and Deathkings of the Dark Citatel, but that's not SO cool).

The Mac version of HEXEN is the first one I had, since we didn't get our HP until 1999 or 2000. I was lucky and found a PC version of Hexen along with Deathkings of the Dark citatel. I transferred all the wads I had collected off the internet from My Imac and/or the G3 to the HP and found that Caldera works a whole lot better on the PC.

It was then I was finally able to get Heretic and Hexen2 (They don't have mac versions ).

I really did notice the difference between windows Hexen and Mac Hexen. I saw on Macgames.com or something that they're working on a mac version of Hexen2(YAY !), but I don't know when they're going to get done with it.

Maybe we should start a new topic about mac Hexen (we certainly aren't talking about savegame files much anymore).

Thank you Janis. I found those files before I posted this question but is there 1 file that has all the data saved for 1 saved game or is 1 saved file seperated into different parts of files?
P.S. You are the only good moderator/helper around
