KORAX MOD
Overview
Korax Mod is the first product of the Korax project. This is
a gameplay modification that allows you to play the original
Hexen levels in Direct 3D / OpenGL with some new RPG features,
making for a much more differentiated gameplay according to
which class you play. With the fighter, you'll laugh in the
beginning as it'll be very easy, and will sweat (and die) in
the end. With the mage, you'll have an extremely tough start
and a child's play towards the end.
See here for
the complete manual of Korax Mod (this manual is also included
in the download file).

reinforcements may arrive
New features in Korax Mod 2.x
- Damage skins: once the HP of a monster sinks below 50% of
its start value, the damage skin of the monster is activated,
making it visually plain it's low on health. Depending on
the monster, it can mean things like bleeding chest, broken
horn, torn wing etc.
- Enhanced stats: speed now influences the delay of the melee
weapons as well, not only the running speed (i.e. when your
Fighter's speed is higher, he'll be able to deliver more punches
with his Axe or Gauntlets in the same time span than he could
when it was lower)
- Fighter has now Battle Rage (similar to Mage's Magic and
Cleric's Faith), along with a new spell-kind attribute, the
Berserker
- New weapon enhancements for the Fighter's Quietus and the
Mage's Sapphire Wand (there are now 4 different versions of
the wand). All Fighter weapons can now be used without mana
- New spell for the Cleric: Spirits Within
- New spells for the Mage: Possession, Summoning
and Horrible pain
- Certain monsters might drop some treasure when they die
- Between episodes you will be transported into a shop in
another dimension where you can extend your equipment, using
the treasure collected from dead monsters
- New MD2 models and sprites (silver and gold bars)
